Fans to Extract Smoke at 400°C from flextraction Ltd

Posted October 1st, 2009

flextraction Ltd, supplier and manufacturer of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) products and UK and Northern Ireland representative for PISAC International s.a, the export arm of Barcelona based industrial and commercial fan manufacturer Sodeca s.a, has introduced a comprehensive range of ventilation fans to extract smoke and fumes up to 400°C/2hr.

THT Axial & Impulsion Fans from flextraction LtdThese 3-phase 230/400V 50Hz fans are designed to vent industrial kitchens, educational centres storage buildings, inside and outside fire danger zones in public car parks, garages, bodyshops and on construction sites.

The range is very comprehensive with multiple choice fans to suit the application and the area to be vented.  The fans range from THT long cased axial fans including individual THT/ATEX fans and duplex extraction units with ATEX certification, CJTHT and CJTHT/ATEX extraction units with soundproof boxes to THT/IMP single direction or reversible long range impulsion fans in circular, rectangular or oval designs for smoke extraction meeting EN-12101-3-2002 certification

For working inside fire danger areas, the ATEX certified long cased axial fans with impellers ranging from 40 - 125cm diameter have an aluminium strip to prevent sparks meeting EN 14986:2006 specifications and they incorporate a Class H motor with one-or two- speeds depending on the model selected.

The long range impulsion fans have variable cast aluminium impellers for optimum impulsion and deflectors to increase the airflow range on the impeller side as well as silencers with thermal and acoustic insulation.  They can supply a maximum airflow ranging from 2,130 – 64,850 m3/hr depending on the model selected.

Depending on the floor layout, height and location of the fans, flextraction can design and supply the extraction duct systems and calculate the load losses.

For car parks, flextraction is also able to design and supply ventilation systems both using the traditional ducting system and also using the new impulse ventilation system without ducting reducing installation costs and improving the overall ventilation.
