I have worked in the Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) industry since 1990 when I joined IEC Consultants Ltd as director. Prior to this I was Engineering Manager for a leading vehicle exhaust silencer manufacturer. Having joined IEC Consultants Ltd as director it was soon realised the need for a UK based manufacturer and supplier of quality extraction equipment, which led to the inception of Flextraction Ltd where I was a co-director with roles in Sales, design and testing of LEV systems as well as HR and Health & Safety for the company.

I have been in the Local Exhaust and Ventilation (LEV) industry since 1982 where I worked with 2 major companies. The roles I have held, from Product Designer to Managing Director, have enabled me to cover all areas of LEV where I have helped build the technical reputation for each company.
With both a practical and technical background there is so much I have come across during my career, I have also been lucky enough to put some of this and related knowledge to good use supporting the creation of European standards and guidance in the field of dust explosions. I was also involved in the formation of the Extraction Manufacturers and Designers Association (EMADA).
I have known Flextraction for most of my career and when the opportunity to join came along I jumped at it – what a great opportunity to help support the ambitious plans whilst passing on valuable LEV knowledge gained over nearly 40 years.
Happily married for about the same time as my LEV career and I am the proud father of two grown up daughters. Having lived in the Leicestershire area all my life, Flextraction is right on my doorstep.
